Irish NFL fan in America Trip 3 Preview.

Man, these NFL seasons are short.

My plan from the start with this has been to get four trips in a year and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. The problem what that is you really need to squeeze them in as you only have four months of regular season.

Although next year I might roll the dice and go to a playoff game with my fourth trip. Surely there’ll be some teams in there I haven’t seen!

All this means is that I’m away again this weekend for NFL trip three, this time to San Francisco.

It’s the 9ers and the Raiders this time and they take on the Giants and the Chargers respectfully. Should be two good games. With the exception of the first game in Philly all of the games I’ve been to have been pretty one sided affairs with long odds on favourites getting it done. The Raiders Chargers game could be more of the same but the 49ers Giants game should certainly be more of a contest with two teams that have only managed three wins between them from a possible 17.

I’ve got some nice tickets for both games. Section 105 of the Oakland Coliseum is considered the black hole by Raiders fans and that is exactly where I’ll be on Sunday. This should make for an amazing experience and it’s just as well after my trip to Buffalo. Standards are high!

For the San Francisco game I managed to get postgame field access, premium game seating and pregame party tickets as part of a 49ers fan deal. This should also provide a cool experience and it’s important as the last thing I want is any two games being similar or the same. I want each and every one to be distinctive in some way or another come the end.

I’ll be in San Francisco for six days without any travelling bar the short trip to Oakland (20 mins driving) which means this trip should be a lot less hectic that the last two.

It’s a privilege to be able to do this and I’m really glad I’ve followed through with the idea. The vlog has been well received and like I keep saying I think it will get better as I go along.

Other than that not much else to say other than time to tackle San Francisco! Expect a review and vlog from trip three sometime late next week.
